UPLC-HRMS Polyphenolic Characterization, Contents and Antioxidant Activity of Zingiber officinale Roscoe rhizomes from Costa Rica

Zingiber officinale Roscoe rhizomes have been associated with multiple health benefits, such as blocking blood clotting, digestive and antinausea effects aid in respiratory conditions. These linked their polyphenolic main metabolites, gingerols shogaols. Herewith, we report a detailed study on the profile contents of shogaol well antioxidant activity extracts from Z. (n = 17) produced Costa Rica. Using UPLC-QTOF-ESI MS, total 34 polyphenols were identified, grouped 12 types structures. In addition, our findings metabolites using UPLC-DAD show all complying (TG) content established by United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
